October/November 2021

We are burning up days until the year ends so I thought I better roll right into November.

Our guild meeting for October is the 28th at 6:30. We will be zooming but want to feature your quilts and work. Please submit photos to ocmodernquiltguild@gmail.com as soon as you can. We would love to show lots of work, so don’t be shy. We will also vote on by laws and officers and share some of our great plans for 2022.

November will feature guest speaker Mary Fons on November 18. We will also award prizes for our Book Themed quilt challenge. These are always so varied and amazing. Don’t miss this.

Pictured above is Daisy Aschehoug in front of one of her amazing quilts. She is presenting a workshop on November 14. She will teach about Giant Nested Curves. There are a few openings. I have heard her speak and I am sure this will be a rewarding day.

We will be having a social meeting on December 5 with many more details to come.

If you haven’t, please reach out to renew your membership now. You will not be disappointed in all the great resources we have planned for 2022. They will be shared at our October meeting and I will post here soon.

Stay safe.
