Three times per year OCMQG challenges its members to create a quilt focused on a specified theme or element of modern design. Based on votes by the membership, three quilts are awarded a prize ribbon and gift card.
Once a year we hold a challenge where all the quilts entered are donated to a non-profit organization in Orange County, California.
Current Challenge – November – Annual Book Challenge
It’s that time of year again! Each year our guild’s November Challenge is to create a quilt to accompany a book suited for a Young Adult. The quilts and books will be donated to the Orangewood Foundation during the holiday season.
Quilts will be due at the November 17th guild meeting.
The suggested size is a twin quilt.
Quilts must be finished with binding or facing.
Awards will be given for Best Interpretation of Book, Best Modern Design, and Members’ Choice.
