OCMQG MEMBERSHIP MEETING MINUTES
June 29th 2023

Welcome by Kelly

First we discussed The Updated Definition of Modern Quilting and had a fun “Make It Modern Breakout Session.”  

1. We had sign-ups for the 2023 Community Quilt Committee. A pattern is selected and sewing days is being scheduled. Email if you want to participate and have not signed up yet. 
2. Quilter’s Journey with Mona and Jonathan – a Huge thank you to Mona and Jonathan for sharing your creations with the guild. They were a delight to view.
3. Next Month, we have Allyson Allen as a guest speaker. 
4. Block of the Month 2023 Remix. Pick one and incorporate into your top for the October show and tell! 
5. Mothership Guild Resources and News – The 2024 Maximalist Challenge / Scrappy Challenge are highlighted this month. 
6. August Toiletry Drive for Orangewood – We are collecting toiletries for OrangeWood. Bring toiletries and items to the August meeting. 7. The Log Cabin Challenge entries are due for the August meeting. 
8. We have a social event scheduled for July 29th. I’m bringing Hues and Cues!  
9. We had a wonderful Show and Tell.
