Welcome – Kelly Hogan
Speaker Allyson Allen – had historical replica quilts. She focused on color first when replicating and then the patterns were enhanced. She replicates quilts of the era – slave and antebellum periods of history. Allyson did a wonderful historical presentation on quilts, slave trade, impact of African slave trade, etc. Allyson will be showing at the Pacific International Quilt Festival in Santa Clara, October 12-15, 2023, and the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art in the Summer of 2024.
