Are you going to @road2ca this weekend?! Help OCMQG win $500!! This year Road to California is having a Quilt Guild Attendance Challenge that is sponsored by The Traveling Quilters. Two prizes will be awarded. The first prize - a $500 donation to the guild - will be awarded to the guild with the highest number of members attending the show. The second prize - a $500 donation - will be awarded to the guild with the highest percentage of attendance from their guild. This gives even the smallest guilds a chance to win! When you first arrive at Road (after check-in at registration, if applicable) please go to the Challenge Registration desk to register. It is located in the Atrium and across from the south entrance to the show. There you will find several iPads on pedestals where you can "check in". If you can't find the check-in area, please ask at the Information Booth. If you belong to multiple guilds, you can register for each guild. However, even if you are attending on multiple days you will only be allowed to register once for each guild.

At our December Meeting we hosted our Annual Charity Quilt Challenge!! This year the challenge was to create a quilt based on a book! Congrats to our winners! Swipe to see everyone's entries!! Yesterday our Philanthropy chair dropped the quilts, books and the rest of the donations off at the Orangewood foundation. Here is everything that was donated: $440 in gift cards; 27 quilts in a bag with matching books (the Crazy Quilters Guild made themed bags to match the OCMQG quilts); 3 sturdy backpacks; assorted toiletries and accessories; cuddly stuffed animals; empowering books for their library; and many, many earbuds! #charityquilt #modernquilt #mqg #modernquilting #ocmqg #modernquiltguild
