We all know about QuiltCon (now accepting entries through Nov 30), but there are other quilt shows in our own backyard that are showcasing / requesting entries for modern quilting.
Quiltfest Oasis is running October 6-9 in Palm Springs and is looking for Mid-Century Mod inspired quilts. Entries will also show at the Pacific International Quilt Festival October 13-16.
Mid-Century Mod Theme Interpretation / A Brief Statement:
Mid-Century Mod emphasizes the look and feel of mid-20th century design. Artists are asked to draw inspiration from this period, reflecting their own exposures or from the work of artists such as Joan Miro, Piet Mondrian, Victor Vasarely, Frank Stella, etc. Where did you find the inspiration for your Mid-Century Mod quilt?
If you are interested in submitting a quilt, entries are due August 30, 2016. More information regarding this show and the entry process can be found here: Entry Rules for Quiltfest
LA Quilt Show
